Easter

It was a beautiful day to celebrate our Savior.
Lots of sunshine and happy kids.
We got up - found Easter baskets (with only a small chocolate bunny in it).

Ate Dutch Babies. Yum.
Girls had their hair curled and wore new dresses to church. Boys were handsome too!

August is not the most cooperative with pictures right now :)

It is impossible to get August to hold still with his brother and sisters.
The picture he is lifting up his shirt is him copying Caroline.

After church we ate a wonderful dinner of ham, mac&cheese (homemade), rolls, baked beans and asparagus. Even the kids ate!
We then took 30 minutes to rest and prepare for the egg hunt.
99 eggs full candy or money. Including 4 golden eggs, everyone's favorite!
It was a success.

It was a wonderful day.

Happy Easter.

Sweetwater Creek Park

Four days into Spring Break we went on our second outing.

I googled easy trails around the area and found Sweetwater Red Trail, right along the river, minimal hills and only a mile there and back. When we got to the park we discovered that the Red Trail was closed because they were filming a movie (this is where they filmed the movie Hunger Games) so we headed down the White Trail. This was not an easy flat trail along the river. But we up and down we went till we made it to the river.

Kids had fun hiking in, snacking by the river and then playing in the water. The old mill was pretty cool. The trip back was hot and we were tired.

When we got home kids played outside for another hour and then it was time for dinner, ice cream and bed!

Tomorrow we are suppose to get a lot of storms so we will hit up the library and maybe rent a movie. Thursday drops 20* so maybe we'll go to a movie.

Friday we have soccer. Saturday we'll have to find another adventure to go on!
