August's Head

Friday night I was making pizza - a favorite at our house. Kids were watching a show and August was being a wild man and hurdling in the living room.
Not long after I told him he needed to stop before he got hurt he fell, hit his face against the TV stand and split his upper lip. Honestly the cut wasn't that big, but it was deep! So I called a friend, asked them to watch my three big kids while we took August to an Urgent Care.
He recieved a stitch, which he then said, "The doctor fixed my crack!" We took him to Panda Express but his little mouth was too sore to eat.
On the upside, after only being here 4 months I think we found a good Urgent Care for next time!
I hope next time we have to get stitches on this kid it is not on his face! (If you look at the white line on his forehead, that is from his first set of stitches about 2 years ago exactly!)

On a side note, Topher came home from school with middle school registration forms! What the heck! How did he get so big and I get so old!?

And, he finally found something worthy to spend his sweet gum ball and chestnut burr money on!

Saint Patricks Day

I really go all out for Saint Patrick's day. It was soccer so we had to accommodate that this year!
It always reminds me of my Papa McQuade!

Our three day pet.

At our first soccer practice a little kitten came over and was super lovey with us. He was crying the whole time so, me being the sucker I am, we took him home. I did not want another cat so we took pictures to get rid of him.
I gave him a bath - August then fell in love with him. Ack! He was a super nice cat.
We went to pack meeting that night and I mentioned the cat and a family with 4 kids said they were looking for a kitten. I offered this one and they agreed to take him!
He was super friendly and they are lucky to get such a kind cat, I kind of wish I kept him, but I really don't want to deal with two cats right now!

Mom of Boys

Boys are rowdy, except sometimes their not.
And those times are full of cuddles and hugs.
I love my boys.

Where is spring?

Where is spring?!

We had a lovely ice storm this spring, and snow storm and lots of cold rainstorms.

We are ready for warmth!
