As this was a long weekend trip we wanted to take advantage of every minute. So after church we loaded up the car and drove to Navajo Damn (Tyler corrected me). We enjoyed sandwiches, deviled eggs, magic bars and other yummies that Gramma made for us!
I think we were higher up and the altitude made it colder. August looks a little irritated about wearing his sister's Frozen hat.
After enjoying our delicious picnic we went off to explore. While New Mexico does not have the obvious beauty of the southeast it does possess a different beauty. But after ten years of being married to Tyler, I truly do enjoy the landscape.
While the rest of us were climbing and exploring the rocks and cliffs, Gramma and August really know how to hike.
After our hike, we went down to the lake. We enjoyed looking at the Carp and watching the water.
What a fun trip! Perhaps we'll fly out for the next President's Day weekend?!
