President's Day Holiday

This marks the third year we've journed to New Mexico mid February. I've never liked February so this provides a much needed break. This year we enjoyed a visit to both the Aztec Ruins and Bloomfield Damn (I think that is what it is called).

The ruins were about 20 minutes from Tyler's house and were fun to run through if you were under 4 feet. For those of us not so vertically challenged it was fun to duck through narrow doorways.
Going on any type of outings with kids is always an adventure. Two minutes in, Topher and Maddie were sitting and leaning over edges, trying very hard to fall in. Caroline was in tears, though she usually is right now. And August was unimpressed with the ancient ruins.

I am sure these ruins were built for people who were not much taller than Topher and most definetly not for strollers! Tyler was so kind to document this struggle for me.

Just cuteness.

I find Caroline's moves inspiring but she rocks it so much better :)

It was a great day - we spent time together!
